A Visit With The Barefoot Farmer

We visited Long Hungry Creek Farm and spent the day with Jeff Poppen and many of our friends.
A kind, knowledgeable, and generous farmer, Jeff spent the day showing us around his organic farm.

The blueberries were delicious...

Everyone enjoyed cooling off in this cave.  A is showing Jeff a worm she found in the cave and the kids also found an interesting red and black salamander.  The cave is used for cooling vegetables before they are shipped to market.

looking at tadpoles....

Jeff picked a fresh salad and we all shared a nice lunch in the shade.

Off to his other farm, we were all ready to cool off in the creek again.

A few of the boys got a chance to help haul hay and unload it at the barn.

Another great day.... God blessed us with His beautiful creation and wonderful experiences.

  1. What a joy and a blessing. So many children never get to experience or even see the beauty and wonder of God's creation.
